Rural Agroeconomic Improvement Initiatives Programme (RAGIP) was established in 2016 and registred as a non-profit and non-political Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) and currently operates in five(5) counties in Western Kenya, namely Kakamega, Bungoma, Busia, Siaya and Vihiga. RAGIP works with people in Western Kenya to empower the disadvantaged, increase economic opportunity, and sustain natural resources. In the first yearof Operation, we have managed to train smallholder farmers on identificaton and control of crop pests and diseases as well as environmental smart agriculture that ensures environmental sustainability.

Rural Agroeconomic Improvement Initiatives Programme (RAGIP) matches innovative approaches in agriculture, natural resources management, education, and health with the unique need of its partners. By linking local individuals and communities with new ideas and technology, RAGIP is increasing long-term productivity, equity, and responsible resource management to benefit the poor and disadvantaged.

Rural Agroeconomic Improvement Programme (RAGIP) uses a people-centered, participatory approach, measuring the effectiveness of our interventions by how they meaningfully affect the lives of the women, men and children we serve and offering them a voice in the decisions that affect their lives. RAGIP works accross sectors to reduce poverty, improve agricultural productivity, helath, education and the environment. We value indigenous knowledge and traditions, building on them to promote appropriate and enduring solutions on economic growth.
