To improve rural African agriculture through integrating science, indigenous knowledge and innovation to increase farm productivity, wealth and access to education.

Our Objectives

Our main objective is to improve agricultural productivity and access to education for the rural poor. Within the framework of the forgoing, RAGIP has the following principal objects:

  1. Establish a platform for the development, sharing, protection and dissemination of modern agricultural and entrepreneurial technologies.
  2. Develop modalities for the promotion of ethical and environmentally sustainable/ sound utilization and conservation of modern agricultural, entrepreneurial and related technologies.
  3. Build capacity of farmers, researchers, agricultural and industrial practitioners on biotic and abiotic stressors of both farm animals and plants through advocacy and training on modern agricultural, entrepreneurial and related technologies.
  4. Do research in area of agricultural sciences, foster and maintain links with researchers, agricultural and industry practitioners in other international networks with technologies to increase yields and incomes of smallholder farmers.
  5. Document and promote indigenous knowledge on plant biodiversity and sustainable agriculture. Provide a forum for policy advocacy on safe and sustainable utilization of chemical fertilizers, pesticides and use of quality seed to improve yields.
  6. To establish or assist in the establishment of schools and other educational centres, and libraries, and to publish newsletters, brochures, periodicals, books and other publications as the Board of the Organization may deem desirable for the promotion of the Organization;
  7. Establish a fund that will assist poor but bright children access tertiary education or trainings that may better their lives and that of their communities.
  8. To establish or assist to establish maternal health care centres for purposes of training mid and step wives to become professionals in their fields so as to reduce mother and infant mortalities at birth;
  9. To acquire any moveable or immovable property and any buildings or things whatsoever and sell, dispose of Mortgage, lease or otherwise deal with all or any part of the property or rights of the Organisation;
  10. To enter into any arrangement with any governments or authorities that may seem conducive to the Organization’s objects or any of them, and to obtain from such government or authority any rights, privileges and concessions which the Organization may think desirable to obtain;
  11. To take such steps by personal or written appeals, public meetings or otherwise as may from time to time be deemed expedient for the purpose of procuring.
  12. contributions to the funds of the Organization in the form of donations, annual subscription or otherwise;
  13. To apply to any governments or authority, public bodies, corporations, companies or persons for and to accept grants or gifts of money and of any moveable or immovable property, donations, gifts subscriptions and other assistance with a view to promoting the objects of the Organization and, in taking of any gift or property to take the same subject to any special trust which may be prescribed by the donor thereof;
  14. To establish an endowment fund to receive grants, donations, gifts and other assistance in any form whatsoever from Kenya or from any other source for anyone or more of the objects of the organization and to establish non-point-making foundation in any country or countries for the purpose of receiving donations from private and corporate persons and for channeling the same to the organization’s development operations.
  15. To promote or assist in the promotion of any organization or company or other body having objects similar to those of the Organization.
  16. To do all such other things as are incidental or conducive to the attainment of any of the above objects
  17. To invest the money in the organization not immediately required in any one or more of the modes of investment of trust moneys or in such other manner as the Board of the Organization may from time to time determine provided that the outcome of such investments shall be generated back to the Organization to achieve its objectives
